Putting together a multi-day event is no small task. In this case, CLI Groups, Las Vegas Destination Management Company, organized the annual awards ceremony, supplier showcase, leadership summit, and more for a major aviation-themed chicken restaurant chain with over 1,200 locations worldwide. This wasn’t just any event and it would require more than just a hotel and a conference room — it would require specialty catering, unique entertainment, exclusive after-parties, and more.
It was important to greet the event attendees with something special, which is why the Welcome Reception was preceded by a unique “President’s Reception.” There, hotel staff served drinks and a flair bartender performed bar tricks. A photographer took group and candid photos that would be hosted online for five days. Guests would be provided a special link to download their photos.
When finished with the President’s Reception, guests moved to the pool area for the Welcome Reception. The party was furnished with 25 hotel highboy tables covered with brown sashes, and ten wooden communal tables with six barstools at each. Alcohol was served from behind two glowbars branded with the client’s logo. A DJ performed a song list provided by the client and a strolling musician entertained with magic tricks throughout the night. 12-person LED team foosball competitions and two color-changing skeeball games were another highlight of the night.
Meals were provided to guests throughout the week, and a musician was booked to perform on a baby grand piano at multiple events.
The main event was the Awards Dinner, and it was a complete success. The tables at the reception were decorated with gold placemats and centerpieces including gold vases with white callas and cymbidium orchids, a trio of gold Mercury votives, and gold stands filled with black gems and underlit green trick.
To match the royal theme, gold bar fronts with black trim were used at each of the Awards Ceremony bars. A photographer was present for photos of the entire awards presentation and performance, candid and group shots, decor shots, and more.
When the ceremony was over, the group moved to an after party in the pool area prepared with 6’5” branded glowing orbs floating in the water, 12’ tall neon lighting sticks, and multi-colored acrylic high-top tables. A green screen, open-style photo booth was provided for guests to use and the glow-bars were moved in for alcohol to be served.
